| Private Class Outline |
|
Notes and Fees |
The first step in all private classes is to evaluate your riding ability.
Once an evaluation is complete, we will devise a custom tailored program to meet your objectives.
Outlined below are typical structures for beginning and advanced riders.
Beginner Structure - The basic techniques include body positioning such as, elbows, knees, fingers, eyes, and feet in the standing and sitting positions. After we have the basic techniques down, we carry them to the track. This is where we work on braking, cornering, and jumping. The beginner riders will be learning how to ride the track safely and comfortably, enjoying all the excitement that motocross has to offer.
Advanced Structure - Advanced riders will move straight to the track and work on: charging corners, aggressive braking, smooth throttle control and minimizing jumps. The advanced riders will be learning how to attack the track aggressively in total control.

Village Creek, Fort Worth, Level: 5
Village Creek is a very popular national caliber track located in Ft. Worth. They hold many races and practices every month. There is both a mini track (limited to 50-65cc bikes) and a main track that is almost 2 miles long. The dirt has sawdust in it to hold moisture and form great corners. The jumps are very technical. Here you must be on your game to navigate all the obstacles. If you like to go long and high, you'll enjoy Village Creek.

McAfee, Collinsville, Level: 4
McAfee is a fairly new track that has begun to grow rapidly. I rate this track as a four because it gets really rough towards the end of the day and there are a lot of jumps on this relatively short track. They have open practice every Saturday and Sunday. The dirt is sandy and always well watered. The corners develop one foot tall berms and deep ruts. |

Nocona MX, Nocona, Level: 3
Nocona is a sandy track with fairly large obstacles, but the jumps are very forgiving, so you don't have to be so precise on your landing. There is also a mini track that is very well done. With soft sandy dirt and simple jumps (no doubles or triples), this is a great for novice riders. The corners usually develop one foot tall berms and some of them develop ruts. Nocona also develops braking and acceleration bumps in the corners. I personally like riding and training at Nacona, although it's a bit of a haul from DFW. You can also count on there being an open practice schedule. |

Boondoxxx, Farmersville, Level: 1/4
Boondoxxx is a great beginner facility with 3 different tracks, plus trails. One is a mini track for little bikes, another is a great intermediate track limited to under 125cc class bikes, and the other is supercross-type track for the big bikes. The supercross-type track is on the side of a hill and rates a four. The dirt is very hard and dry on all tracks, but the intermediate is best maintained. The intermediate track is a great place for beginners to learn how to ride a track with its very small obstacles and jumps. Boondoxxx also provides great throttle control training for beginners. |
